What we do

Creating Change

Our work focuses on two core elements:

Firstly, providing opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to take part in activities and make friends.

Secondly, building partnerships and sharing knowledge which leads to the creation of environments which have been built or adapted to suit all need.

The starting point for our projects, events and creating change within environments, is always to talk to our members. Those who are experiencing exclusion and isolation first-hand are best placed to help create the solutions, and we are delighted that our workplan for the next few years has been co-designed by our members.

Furthermore, in order to sustain change and enable more communities to benefit, we have published several guides, to share our learning. These publications include numerous resources, all provided free of charge.

‘Why can every child not take part in outdoor play environments within their communities?’ This question, which our chairperson was asking as a new mum herself back in 2000, sadly remains relevant.
